ArchivesDepression vs. LifeWriters are advised to write about what they know, and since I know what depression feels like, I thought I’d share an inside view of the disorder. (And please know that I am not in a depressed state at this time, although I know the robber-of-life can return at any moment.) This was written in an attempt to articulate the ruthless and insidious manner in which Depression seeks to control another person’s body, mind and spirit. In a previous post, I spoke of evil and deception. Depression, if thought of as a beast or demon, is very deceptive. If thought of as a medical condition, it is simply a matter of the brain not producing enough serotonin to keep the emotions balanced. If you are depressed, it is very important that you find supportive and caring people to help you break free from Depression’s hold. If you don’t have a network to turn to, you may contact me through my Youtube or Care2 account. Peace. |
