Who's Your Angel?

I received an interesting e-mail informing me that my personal Archangel is Uriel, the angel of Justice. And according to one site, he is depicted as being about as pitiless as any demon you would not want to meet in hell. Uriel is often shown holding his fiery sword of justice in one hand and the keys to the gates of Hades in the other hand.

Oh, well...not to worry, there is a kinder description of this Angel also on the Net.

If you want to know who your Archangel (might) be, look at the day of the week when you were born. As obtained from another website:

“At the first cry of a child, if it is a Sunday, St. Michael, the Prince of the Heavenly Host is present; Monday --- St. Gabriel, the Special Messenger of God; Tuesday --- St. Rafael, the Healer and Guide for the Christian Pilgrim; Wednesday --- St. Uriel, the Archangel of Justice; Thursday --- St. Setiel the Archangel of Worship; Friday --- St. Judiel, the Bearer of God's Merciful Love; and Saturday --- St. Baraquiel, the Guardian and Provider of the Children of God.”

I don’t know if there’s any truth in this, but it is interesting to look at a profile of your Archangel and notice if there are any influences of them in your life.

For Wednesday’s children, here are more details about Uriel:

Archangel Uriel’s many titles do include: Prince of Seraphim, Angel of the Presence, Angel of Poetry, Angel of Prophecy, Angel of Music, Angel of Summer, Light of God, Angel of Retribution, Angel of September, Angel of Hunter, and Angel of the Nut Tree.

The Archangel Uriel is one of the seven Archangels that stand at the throne of the God Creator and one of the four major Archangels that serve humanity.

Uriel rules the mental plane, our thoughts and ideas, creativity, insights, judgment, magic, alchemy, astrology, universal consciousness, divine order, the distribution of power, the cosmic universal flow and the Earth's environment. Uriel is humanity's link to the spiritual realms and he can show us how to find our inner power through a process that will help each individual Shift in consciousness and therefore accelerate the entire human kingdom's shift into higher realms of consciousness.

As the Archangel of Salvation, Uriel can show us how to heal every aspect of lives, turning disappointments into victories, find blessings in adversity, and release the painful burdens and memories of the past through the application of unconditional forgiveness. Uriel uses his flaming sword to purify mental and emotional understanding and transmute lower vibrational energies into enlightened spiritual understanding.

Uriel brings the power of unconditional forgiveness to humanity as the key to transcending the Shift entering the Kingdom of the Creator, the higher realms of energetic vibration and consciousness. He is releasing his message at this time because humanity has indicated, through its willingness to embrace the Shift in Consciousness, that it is ready to listen, act and transcend the human experience.

While he stands at the gate of the Garden of Eden with his flaming sword, to deny entry to those who have forgotten how to love the Creator God, he also holds out the key to entry, the application of Unconditional Forgiveness to every area of our lives.

Uriel teaches the path of the heart, the fire of pure Love. Without this pure Love and devotion to Spirit, all spiritual study remains an intellectual pursuit, fairy gold. This understanding of true spiritual study is further supported by the tradition that Uriel brought to Earth: Alchemy, the heavenly arcana and was the giver of the Cabala to man.

It is through Noah's devotion and Love of God that Uriel is able to warn him of the flood. Noah's pure love and devotion was the telephone number of Uriel. If Noah had been unable to express divine love and devotion to God, he would have been unable to hear Uriel's warning via the cosmic phone. This is how another attribute associated with Uriel has arisen, the attribute of Divine Vengeance and Judgement. Only if the heart is ignited in devotion to God can one hear Spirit's call. If one does not hear Spirit's call, one will perish (get caught in the flood).

Uriel is said to have been the interpreter of Ezra's visions which also explains why Uriel means "God is the radiating principle of Light."

Uriel's symbol of an open hand holding a flame depicts a great gift to humanity. It is the flame of Love to ignite the heart in service to God. Uriel holds out the flame of Love towards all souls.

Accepted as an archangel by the Church for many centuries, he was finally removed from the records in 745 CE as the Church became increasingly concerned with the prominence the public was placing upon angels.
