I've received three calls from readers of the Depression 101 column. They wanted to thank me for writing the piece. It seems that they, too, have encountered stereotypes and stigmas regarding depression and/or its treatment.

Clearly, this is a subject that needs to be talked about more openly in society.

And so I, defender of the weak and downtrodden, will continue to give this topic additional thought in the following weeks. (Intended as a semi-self-mocking comment.)
